About: Psychopsis are an intermediate level Onc. hybrid group which prefers warm, humid conditions and likes to be potted in coarser bark than many other Oncidium hybrids to prevent root rot. They are sequential bloomers meaning they will re-bloom many times from the same flower spike, sometimes for several years. Often they stay in bloom or spike for many months.
Potting mix: Coarse orchid bark mix, repot infrequently in Spring and not while in bloom/spike
Light: Low-medium light
Water: Water regularly when media is dry, decrease in cold months
Temp: Intermediate-warm (60F min night, 90F max day)
Humidity: 70-85%, mist aerial roots often
Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free balanced fertilizer every 3rd-4th watering. Decrease to monthly or less in winter
