They are tropical epiphytic orchids that bright indirect light and very frequent watering in the Summer months followed by very infrequent watering in the Winter months. Cattleyas are prized for their large showy flowers and diverse color varieties. Similar to Cattleya walkeriana 'Kenny', the semi-alba variety has white flowers with a touch of purple and green near the center instead of light lavender flowers.
