About: Phais orchids are semi-terrestrial large leafy orchids with spikes that can reach up to 3 ft tall! Tolerant of medium and low light, with long-lasting blooms. An attractive foliage plant that rewards with blooms more easily achieved than other orchid varieties. 

Potting mix: Well-draining potting soil, long fiber sphagnum moss or fine orchid bark, repot once root bound

Light: Low-bright indirect light

Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is nearly dry, allow to dry out slightly in cold months

Temp: Cold-intermediate (55F min, 85F max), somewhat cold tolerant

Humidity: 50-70%, tolerant of medium humidity

Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free balanced fertilizer every other watering. Decrease to monthly in winter
